The Racetronix® WG-44 compact 44mm wastegate measures only 4.17" high allowing it to be mounted in tight locations. This Racetronix wastegate also features two M10x1.0 top air ports and three bottom air ports for easy installation – there is no need to rotate the actuator housing to get to a port. Racetronix includes three M10x1.0 Titanium plugs to block off any unused air ports. The Inconel (NiCrFe) valve, Nitronic 60 valve guide + seat and lower 347 stainless steel housing are constructed from high temperature alloys for their unique combination of high corrosion, wear and galling resistance properties (prevents sticking). The top actuator housing is CNC machined from lightweight T6-6061 billet aluminum which is available in a range of anodized colors. All Racetronix wastegates are designed to optimize actuator-to-valve area ratio to provide maximum control and a wide dynamic flow capacity utilizing a fibrous Boron silicone diaphragm and o-ring seal for high-temperature handling and long life.
Racetronix utilizes 304 stainless steel v-band connections and includes both inlet and outlet mating flanges and clamps. The 304 stainless steel flanges feature chamfered edges and are counter-bored to make welding simpler. Each wastegate also includes two pre-installed actuator springs. Please see the spring/pressure chart below and optional springs listed under add-ons. All Racetronix springs are manufactured from 17-7 PH stainless steel for consistent pressure delivery, even at high temperatures.
Racetronix wastegates also have integrated M8x1.0 water cooling ports that cycle a small amount of coolant through the actuator top via restricted openings to keep the temperatures down in extreme conditions. This feature is not required for typical street car applications but is a great addition for several scenarios, such as: road racing, low air flow in engine bay, actuator too close to exhaust components, rotary applications, etc. This feature uses little coolant so there is virtually no effect on the rest of the cooling system. Titanium M8x1.0 to -4AN JIC Male adapters are included to plumb these ports if required.
